Your “COMPULSORY” annual professional event in Tourism

China workshop, 4th edition is coming. This is a unique opportunity for professionals in tourism, both from China and France to be in contact and develop mutual business.

CORTI, China Outbound Tourism Research Institute has announced on last August a decrease of 3% in the 1st trimester from the Chinese outbound tourism. Europe has suffered of this decrease, and France is for sure as well affected.

However, we have to be careful about this decrease, because it represents only a part of the Chinese tourists. And we have to keep in mind that the part of Individual tourists (or mini group of 8 to 10 people) is increasing, and they do travel differently with a large proportion of 2nd travel.

The good news is that Europe still remains a popular destination for them.

The Chinese tourism market is in great evolution in last 5 years. As part of it, we have experienced and witnessed these changes since the first edition of the China Workshop.

In 2013, ID Travel Pro created this annual professional event. The main goal is to serve the Tourism Office from everywhere in France, as well as Hotels, Restaurants and Scenic spots. It is a platform to develop their business with Chinese travel agencies, OTAs, Tour guides…who are visitors of China Workshop.

Previous editions

From the very beginning, different Ministers (as Mme Pinel S, Mr Fabius L) have been interested by our event, so it has become immediately a famous one that professionals appreciate a lot.

2014 - 1st edition   Mme Pinel S, Minister at that time, had decided to announce during the workshop that the visa process for Chinese Tourists is going to be highly simplified. This has helped a lot to increase consequently the quantity of Chinese tourists. And our French professionals have detected the high potential from those tourists. China Workshop has been created to help them then. After the workshop, our visitors could go to Rouen-Etretat-Honfleur-Caen as an eductour

2015 – 2nd edition  It took place at Disneyland Paris and in addition to the workshop (comparing to the past edition) - Organization of various conferences, animated by experts only. - Creation of a specific “shopping area” where some precious brands could exhibit The Eductour took place in Reims-Champagne Ardenne

2016 : 3rd edition It took place at the Intercontinental Paris Opera hotel with the visit of : - Minister Mr Fabius Laurent who has announced the visa within 48 hours for the Chinese tourists travelling in groups - Almost 50% of visitors came from mainland China. They previously attended a special China workshop event in Marseille for a specific PACA session with an Eductour in the Region
